September 2014–Dates to be determined
Yosemite National Park is one of the first wilderness parks in the United States. Home to many famous cliffs and waterfalls with spectacular vistas and hikes, Yosemite Valley displays the grandeur and glory of nature’s finest work. Volunteers work alongside experienced Park Rangers to renovate trails and restore fragile natural resources that are often damaged by visitor use, time, and weather. Come and share the privilege and passion with countless others in making a difference!
September is the perfect time to visit Yosemite, with pleasant daytime temperatures, fall colors, and fewer visitors than the summer months. Enjoy the camaraderie of working with other outdoor enthusiasts and have fun while “giving back” to this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In 2007, Conservation Volunteers International Program supported the creation of a “Sister Park” partnership between Yosemite National Park in California and Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia, Chile. Sister Parks encourage volunteers, businesses, communities and parks to work together to protect these important natural resources and environments.
